Can you imagine how cool it is to bike through a Mayan empire nested inside the jungle, with all it’s temples, ruins, ball game courts and observatories? well, it is possible to do all that in Cobá
The natural reserve of Otoch Maax Yetel Ko, or - Punta Laguna - is a sanctuary for wildlife and for the people protecting it. This is the reason we must ask permission to enter. But ask permission to whom? the spirits of the forest.
A Shaman leads a ritualistic ceremony where you’ll be cleansed with copal and chant to the 4 winds seeking protection and allowance. This tour is summed up into one word; Magical.
Once cleared out, we will trek the jungle, we will look for monkeys, some other mammals, and birds. With the help of local guides, we can find wildlife like spider monkeys and howler monkeys. Some travellers have even spotted the rare jaguars in the distance.
You can also Kayak and zipline across the lagoon and take a swim in the crystal waters of a nearby cenote.
We finish the day by having lunch at a local ¨farm to table¨ project run by a lovely Mayan family. They cook delicious traditional meals with ingredients harvested from their own garden.
In a welcoming environment you will meet their family and feel like a local in this intimate exposure to the community´s way of life.

Cancelations within 29 days or less will receive a 50% refund.
Cancelations within the last 48 hours are non-refundable.
